Yvette Vickers (Yvette Vickers)
Playboy Playmate, Actress. She appeared as the Playboy “Playmate of the Month” for the July 1959 issue, and she was also well-known for her roles in B-movie cult classics such as, “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman” (1958) as Honey Parker, and in 1959 she played the role of Liz Walker in “Attack of the Giant Leeches.” She studied acting at UCLA and in New York City, where she was cast in television commercials as the “White Rain” girl. However, she soon moved back to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she made her first big screen appearance in the 1950 film “Sunset Boulevard,” using her given name Yvette Vedder. In 1957 she made her first appearance as Yvette Vickers in the James Cagney directed film, “Short Cut to Hell.” In 1962 she played a bit part in “Hud” starring Paul Newman, and then throughout the 60s and early 70s she made a number of appearances on episodic television shows.
