William Hewitt (William Hewitt)
Businessman, Hockey Pioneer and Innovator. Hewitt served as the President of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association, Vice President of the International Ice Hockey Federation from 1925 to 1926, and 1928 to 1931, and led Canada as a team leader in the Olympics of 1920, 1924, 1928, and 1936. From 1919 to 1920 he was Secretary of the Winnipeg Falcons, the season when they won the Allan Cup. He was the father of hockey broadcaster, Foster Hewitt. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a Builder in 1947, and the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998.
