William Brooks Ching

Actor. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he began his career as a professional singer, appearing in musical stage productions. Signed with Republic Pictures, he made his screen debut in “The Mysterious Mr. M” (1946), followed by “I‘ll Be Yours” (1947) and “The Michigan Kid” (1947) . He went on to appear in nearly twenty films with his best performances being in “D.O.A.” (1950) and  “Pat and Mike” (1952). On television, he was a regular of shows such as “Are Miss Brooks”, “The Millionaire”, “Science Fiction Theatre”, “Perry Mason”, “The Californians” and “77 Sunset Strip”. He died of congestive heart failure at age 75 in Tustin, California. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
