Businessman. He founded the ice cream manufacturing company “Breyer’s Ice Cream”. He mixed “pure ingredients” and fresh fruit to make an ice cream that made Philadelphia famous. The family began wholesale production, and eventually opened retail ice cream shops. The Frankford ice cream merchant died of small pox.
