Actor. Born Edward Costello, Ward Costello worked on the stage, films and in numerous TV shows from the 1940s to 1980s. He began his career in 1946, appearing in the Broadway play “The Father”. For television, he starred in soap operas “Secret Storm”, “The Edge of Night”, “General Hospital” and had recurring roles on “The Streets of San Francisco”, “Newhart”, “Barnaby Jones,” “Little House on the Prairie” and “Star “Trek: The Next Generation”. His feature films included “Terror from the Year 5000” (1958) “The Gallant Hours” (1960), “MacArthur” (1977), “Missing” (1982) and “Firefox” (1982). He also worked as a composer and lyricist.
