Tex Cooper

Actor. Born Judge Thomas Cooper in Texas, on April 21, 1876, he appeared in over 160 films all westerns, from 1916 to 1951. He entered films as an un-credited extra in 1916 and made big screen debut in “The Man Worthwhile” (1921). Among his credits are “The Rustlers of Red Dog” (1935), “Trouble in Texas” (1937), “The Ox-Bow Incident” (1943), “My Darling Clementine” (1946), “The Fighting Kentuckian” (1949) and “King of the Bullwhip” (1950). For television, he appeared on “The Lone Ranger” and “The Gene Autry Show”. He died on March 21, 1951, at age 74 in Hollywood, California.
