Actress. She is probably best known for her role as Thelma Rice in the film “Silkwood” (1983). Starting out as a dancer and choreographer, she made her Broadway debut in 1952 and made numerous appearances in film and television. Her TV credits include regular roles in the soap opera “Guiding Light” and the sitcom, “Flo”, and guest spots in “Maude”, “All in the Family,” “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and “Benson.” In films she can be seen in “Love Story” (1970), “Come Back to the Five & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean” (1982) and “Johnny Dangerously” (1984). Bond died in her New York apartment from an asthma attack shortly after appearing in a off-Broadway production of “Foreigners.”
