Roy Engel

Actor. Born in in New York City, he was a versatile performer whom appeared in 194 films and television programs over the course of his career. He began his career on ABC Radio’s “Sky King” show and made his feature film debut in “The Heats On” (1943). Some of his most memorable movie credits include “Confidence Girl” (1952), “The Houston Story” (1956), “Spartacus” (1960), “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” (1963) and “Viva Los Vegas” (1964). For television, he was a regular on programs such as “You Are There”, “Highway Patrol”, “The Untouchables”, “Virginia City” and “Bonanza”. He died at age 67 in Burbank, California.
