Rosa Rosen (Rosa Rosen)
Actress. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At young age, she began her career on stage in the company of Angelina Pagano. She made her debut in the Pirandello’s play “El Gorro de Cascabeles.” On stage, she worked with actors such as Narciso Ibáñez Menta, Paulina Singerman, Tita Merello or Pepita Serrador. On stage, she triumphed with “La Señorita Julia,” “La Sirena Varada,” “La Heredera,” “Ana Christie,” “Réquiem para una Mujer” and “El Águila de Dos Cabezas.” In her long career, that spent more than 60 years, she also worked on cinema, radio and television. On radio, she played “Ana Karenina” and “Ana y el Rey de Siam,” among others. On television, from 1960, she appeared in “Más Allá del Color,” “El Teatro de Rosa Rosen” and “Alta Comedia.” On cinema, she is remembered for her work in “El Hijo de Papá” (1934), “La Muchacha del Circo” (1937), “La Fuga” (1937), “La Estancia de Gaucho Cruz” (1938), “Capitán Veneno” (1943), “Delirio” (1944), “El Protegido” (1956) and “El Hombre de la Deuda Externa” (1987). She was awarded with Casa del Teatro Award in 1990, Premio Podestá in 1995 and Premio María Guerrero in 2002, among many others. She died in her hometown of pneumonia.
