Silent movie actor of the early 1900s. He is featured in “Judith of Bethulia,” and played four different roles in D.W. Griffith’s classic “Birth of a Nation.” His career faltered after numerous tragedies in his family and he was found dead at the Hotel Seymour in New York City in September of 1920. Some sources say he died from a suicide. Others say he died when his gun accidently discharged itself after falling from his coat pocket. (bio by: Tim Crutchfield)
