Richard Irving Dodge (Richard Irving Dodge)
United States Army Officer. He was a career army officer who served many years in the Western Plains, and participated in a number of the conflicts with the indigenous Indians. In 1882, he published “Our Wild Indians: Thirty Three Years Experience Among The Red Men Of The Great West, an acclaimed primary source about US Army operations of the time and the Lives of the Native Americans Warriors of the Plains.
