Peggy Cass

Actress. She began her career in the 1940s, being a part of the showcase performers “The Doughgirls”. This led to many appearances on Broadway and she was especially noted for her comedy roles winning a Tony Award for her role as Agnes Gooch in “Auntie Mame” in 1957. In the film “Auntie Mame” (1958), she received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her other film credits included “The Marrying Kind” (1952), “Gidget Goes Hawaiian” (1961) and “The Age of Consent” (1969). For television, she had a successful career appearing as a regular on game shows to include “What’s My Line”, “To Tell the Truth”, “I’ve Got a Secret”, “Match Game”, “Password” and “The $100,000 Pyramid”.
