Paul Hartman (Paul Hartman)
Actor. Born in San Francisco, California, he was best remembered for the role of Emmett Clark on the “Andy Griffith Show” TV series. He began his career as a comic stage performer with his wife Grace as the dancing team The Hartmans, appearing in several in several Broadway hits during the 1930s and 1940s. The Hartmans also had their own TV series by the same name from 1953 1955. His other television credits include “The Twilight Zone”, “Ben Casey”, “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour”, “Petticoat Junction” and “Love, American Style”. He also appeared in the films “The Pride of the Family” (1953) and “Inherit the Wind” (1960). He died of a heart attack at the age of 69 in Los Angeles, California. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
