Playwright. He studied law in Genoa, but he committed himself to writing when he achieved success with a play that he wrote aged twenty. He wrote for touring theatre companies and many of his plays were successful, including La Donna, Sofocle and Giuditta.  (bio by: Bunny Boiler)
