Actor Nick Lashaway, who appeared on an episode of HBO’s Girls, died in a car crash in Framingham, Massachusetts on Sunday.

A Hopkinton man died in a three-car crash on Badger Road on Sunday, police said.

Nicholas Lashaway, 28, was taken to the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham after the 6:30 p.m. crash, where he was pronounced dead, police Lt. Harry Wareham said Monday.

The other two drivers, Daniel Peters, 20, of Acton, and Angel Valdivia, 22, of Framingham, were also injured. Peters was taken to the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick and Valvidia was taken to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester to be treated.

Retired Framingham Police officer Ted Piers and his two sons happened upon the crash. They found Lashaway unconscious behind the wheel of his Jeep, which was on fire. The three men pulled him out of the burning vehicle and performed CPR, Wareham said

Two nurses who lived nearby heard the crash and called 911. They also assisted, providing a towel for one of the bleeding drivers and helping perform CPR on Lashaway.

The first officer who arrived also used an automatic external defibrillator on Lashaway.

The cause of the crash is still not known and being investigated by the Framingham Police and the Massachusetts State Police.
