Businessman. Born in Brockville, Ontario, he inherited the William Neilson Company upon his father’s death in 1915. He had grown with the company, through hand churning the ice cream to being general manager. Upon graining control of the operations, he continued to expand the company. Eskimo Pies, a popular ice cream treat were introduced in 1921 followed by the company’s all-time best seller, Jersey Milk chocolate bars, in 1924. He was a member of the Canadian Manufacturers Association and was the chairman of the current day Confectionery Manufacturers of Canada in 1925 to 1926.  When he was diagnosed with leukemia, hundreds of Neilson employees donated blood for his treatment.  Morden passed away in Toronto General Hospital.  Under his stewartship the William Neilson Company had grown to be the largest ice cream maker in the British Empire and largest chocolate manufacturer in the world.  In honor of his passing all offices of the firm were closed on August 29, 1947.
