Marius Goring (Marius Goring)
Actor. He was born in Newport (Isle of Wight, England) and died in East Sussex. He began his career on stage in 1925, playing in Old Vic, the Shakesperian repertory. He moved to cinema in 1936, where developed a prolific career as character actor. He is best remembered as ‘Alberto Bravano’ in Mankiewicz film “The Barefoot Contessa” (1954). He also appeared in “Rembrandt” (1936), “The Red Shoes” (1948), “Pandora and the Flying Dutchman”(1951), “The Man Who Watched Trains Go By” (1953) with Claude Rains and Marta Toren, “The Adventures of Quentin Durward” (1955), “Whirlpool” (1959), “Exodus” (1960), “Erste Liebe” (1970) and “Strike it Rich” (1990), his last film. In TV, he played in “The Scarlet Pimpernel” and “Holocaust.” He was married to actres Lucie Mannheim from 1941 to 1976.
