Marilyn Burns (Marilyn Burns)
American Actress. Burns, who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Drama, made her first film appearance in the Robert Altman movie ‘Brewster McCloud’ (1970). She appeared in small parts in other films, but her breakout came in 1974 when she landed the lead role of Sally Hardesty in Tobe Hooper’s cult classic ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’, which remains her most memorable role. She followed that with a role as Manson Family member Linda Kasabian in the 1976 CBS miniseries ‘Helter Skelter’ and the following year, she reteamed with Hooper for ‘Eaten Alive’. Among other films she appeared in were ‘Kiss Daddy Goodbye’ (1981), ‘Future-Kill’ (1985), ‘The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation’ (1994), ‘Butcher Boys’ (2012), ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ (2013) and ‘Sacrament’ (2014).
