Marie Glory

French Actress. Born Raymonde Louise Marcelle Toully, she was one of the last living silent film performers. She made her film debut in “Le Miracle des Loups” (1924), under the stage name Marie Glory. A versitile performer, she appeared in over 50 films,  among them “Miss Helyett” (1927), “The Count of Monte Cristo” (1929), Le Roi de Paris (1930), “Charlemagne” (1933), “The King of Paris” (1934), “Les Gens du voyage” (1938), “La Folla” (1951) and “La Chatte sort ses griffes” (1960), her last film. In 1995 she was interviewed for Kevin Brownlow’s documentary history of silent film, “Cinema Europe: The Other Hollywood”. She died of natural causes at age 103. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
