Lynn Bogue Hunt

Artist. He specialized in 20th Century national wildlife painting published in periodicals. His paintings and illustrations of ducks, hunters, charging elephants, fish, and other wildlife appeared on the covers of ‘Field and Stream” magazine, beginning in August, 1904 and lasting through the 1940s. His work also appeared on the covers of such publications as the “Saturday Evening Post”, “Boy’s Life”, “The New York Herald Tribune”, “Rotarian”, “Better Homes and Gardens”, “Natural History”, and “Collier’s Magazine”. He painted the United States 1939 Migratory Waterfowl Stamp, nineteen National Wildlife Federation stamps, and numerous works for Ducks Unlimited. Hunt illustrated more than 50 books in his lifetime, and his paintings are highly sought-after in the art world today.
