Lucille Benson

Actress. She was a plump, distinctive and marvelously quirky character, known for her roles in television and movies, from the 1950s to 1980s. Her career started in New York in the 1930s, appearing on Broadway in many plays. Taking a call to go to Hollywood, she made her film debut in “The Fugitive Kind” (1959). Her other film credits included “WUSA” (1970), “Duel” (1971), “Silver Strike” (1976), “1941” (1979), “Amy” (1981) and “Halloween II” (1981). For television she appeared on “Bonanza”, “The Andy Griffith Show”, “The Waltons”, “Disneyland”, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Emergency” and “Alice”.
