Lisa Blount (Lisa Blount)
Actress, Producer. She is best known for her role of Lynette Pomeroy in the hit 1982 picture “An Officer and a Gentleman”, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Raised in Jacksonville, Arkansas, she attended the University of Arkansas, and landed her first movie part in the film “September 30, 1955” (1977), followed by “The Swap” (1979). She would have steady work, alternating between feature films and guest TV roles from the 1980s into the 2000s, among her credits are the pictures “Cut and Run” (1985), “Cease Fire” (1985), “South of Reno” (1988), “Great Balls of Fire!” (1988), “Femme Fatale” (1991), “Box of Moon Light” (1996), “Chrystal” (2004), and the TV series “Murder, She Wrote”, “Picket Fences” and a featured part in the short-lived series “Profit” (1996). During the 2000s, she turned to producing and shared an Academy Award in 2002 for Best Live Action Short for “The Accountant” with her husband Ray McKinnon.
