Liane Haid

Actress. She was born in Vienna (Austria) and died in Bern (Switzerland). She is considered the first Austrian movie star in film history. She began her career as dancer but in 1915, she entered in films, and in the 20s, she become a movie star. In 1942 she emigrated to Switzerland and got married with the Swiss doctor Carl Spycher. She appeared in films such as “Mit Herz und Hand fürs Vaterland” (1915), “Der Roman eines Dienstmädchens” (1921), “Lady Hamilton” (1921), “Lucrezia Borgia” (1922), “Die Brüder Schellenberg” (1926), “Die Czardasfürstin” (1927), “Das Lied ist aus” (1930), “Der unsterbliche Lump” (1930), “Grock” (1931), “Der Prinz von Arkadien” (1932), “Madame wünscht keine Kinder” (1933), “Roman einer Nacht” (1933), “Ungeküsst soll man nicht schlafen gehen” (1936)and Die fünf karnickel / Im krug zum grünen kranze (1953).
