Laura Sadler (Laura Sadler)
Actress. Born in Ascot, Berkshire, England. She was identified as a future talent at early age by Dustin Hoffman, who had seen her in a play. Sadler is best remembered fo her roles on such British television series’ as, ‘Judi Jeffreys’ on “Grange Hill” from 1997 to 1999, ‘Skirty Marm’ in “Belfry Witches” in 1999, and ‘Sandy Harper’ on “Holby City” from 1999 to 2003. She also made guest appearances on the television shows, “Inspector Morse” on January 11, 1989, playing the role of ‘Sabena’ in the episode, “The Last Enemy” and playing a girl in “Days Like These” on June 16, 1999, in the episode, “The Pill.” Sadler’s film roles include, “Anchor Me” (2000), as ‘Cassie Carter,’ “The Fallen Curtain” (1999), as ‘Brenda,’ “Coming Home” (1998), “Intimate Relations” (1996), as ‘Joyce Beasley,’ “The Sahara Project” (1993), as ‘Laura,’ and “Magic Moments” (1989), playing the role of a young girl. Laura Sadler was seriously injured after a 40ft fall from a window on June 15, 2003, at the Holland Park in West London, home of her boyfriend George Calil. She landed on a staircase and was unconscious for four days before her family decided to remove her from the life-support machine. She died on June 19, 2003, at the age of 22.
