Actress. Born, Catherine Campbell on August 12, 1904, she began her career as a model in Chicago. From 1945 to 1960, she played Evey Perkins on the radio serial “Ma Perkins”. She was best known for her roles on the daytime television soap series as Helene Benedict on “The Guiding Light” 1957 to 1964, as Rose Pollock on “The Edge of Night” 1965 to 1968 and as Kate Martin on “All My Children” 1970 to 1985. She died from injuries resulting from an automobile accident in Greenwich, New York on May 27, 1985. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
