Karin Booth

Actress and Dancer. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota as June Hoffman to Francis T. and Ebba V. Hoffman. She signed with Paramount in 1941, where she was billed as Katherine Booth. She moved to MGM in 1942, and changed her screen name to Karin Booth. She began in The Unfinished Dance in 1947 and The Big City in 1948, Karin was dropped by the studio for reasons that remain unclear. Karin continued working in films into the 1950s, with The Cariboo Trail in 1950, Tobor the Great in 1955 and The World Was His Jury in 1958. In June 1948, Karin married Allan Pinkerton Carlisle a sportsman of Palm Beach, Florida, together they had two children, Allan Jr. in 1950 and Robert in 1961. Karin retired from movies in 1959 and she died in Florida at the age of 87. (bio by: Shock)
