Josiah Conder

Architect. Originally from England, Conder was invited to Japan in 1977 to teach architecture. He trained most of the major Japanese architects of the Meiji era and designed buildings that included the Tokyo Imperial Museum, the Rokumeikan and the St. Nikolai Cathedral. (bio by: Warrick L.
