José Crespo

Actor. He was born and died in Murcia (Spain). He debuted on stage at the age of 18 in Catalina Bárcena stage company on the play Sueño de una Noche de Agosto. Soon, he entered in cinema with the film “Mancha que Limpia” (1924). Later, he moved to United States, where played in spanish versions of Hollywood films such as “Olimpia” (1930), “Wu Li Chang” (1930), “The Big House” (1930), “La Mujer X” (1931), “La Ciudad de Cartón” (1933) and “Angelina o el Honor de un Brigadier” (1935), along with actres Rosita Díaz Gimeno. In the 40s, he played in mexican films such as “El Insurgente” (1940) and “La Niña de mis Ojos” (1946). He also worked in New York stage until his return to Spain, where worked as dubbing voice actor. (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
