José Castillo de Fez (José Castillo de Fez)
Illustrator. He was born in Tetuán (Morocco). He began his career in the 40s, working in children magazines “Pumby” and “Jaimito.” Also he worked for the newspapers “Arriba,” “El Faro de Vigo” and “La Golondriz.” He was awarded with the Public Award of XVII World Humorists Convention of Knokke-Heist, Belgium in 1978. He is best remembered for his characters “Johnny Culata,” “Los Tres Mosquiteros y Medio,” “Biela” and “El Paraidista Pérez.” He died in Godella, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain.
