Jean Wallace (Jean Wallace)
Film actress who began her entertainment career as an Earl Carroll showgirl, and shortly thereafter was signed to a contract with Paramount Studios. Jean was married to Franchot Tone (1941-1948) with whom she had two sons, and Cornel Wilde (1951-1981) with whom she had one son. Her list of credits include “Jigsaw” and “Man on the Eiffel Tower” with Tone; and “The Big Combo,” “Storm Fear” and “Sword of Lancelot” with Wilde. Jean died unexpectedly, at home on Valentine’s Day at the age of 66, from a gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
