Jane Hamilton (Jane Hamilton)
Actress. Jane Hamilton started her career as a Goldwyn girl. She also worked as a model at Saks fifth avenue in Beverly Hills. She married millionaire William I. Hollingsworth in 1939. During the war, she worked for the Red Cross. In 1949 she married her second husband, Edward G. Wormhoudt. Jane appeared in several movies during the hollywood golden era in films such as “Bottoms Up” (1934) with Spencer Tacy and Thelma Todd, Kid Billions (1934) with Ann Sothern and Ethel Merman as a Goldwyn girl, “Roberta” (1935) with Irene Dunne, Fred Astaire, and Ginger Rogers, “Old Man Rhythm” (1935) with Betty Grable, “Follow The Fleet” (1936) teaming her again with Grable, Rogers, and Astaire, “The Farmer In The Dell” (1936) with Lucille Ball, “Paid To Dance” (1937) with Rita Hayworth, “Who Killed Gail Preston?” (1938) again with Hayworth, the Three Stooges short “Three Missing Links” (1938) in the role of Mirabel Mirabel and “That Hagen Girl” (1947) with Ronald Reagan and Shirley Temple, her last role was playing a secretary in 1949’s “Everybody Does It”. Jane was one of the original founders of The Colleagues in 1950, becoming president in 1955. She remained active until her death. Jane died at age 88 at her home in Malibu, California.
