Jane Ace

Radio Actress. Born Jane Epstein in Kansas City, Missouri, together with her husband Goodman Ace, they were one of the most popular novelty teams during radio’s golden era. In 1930, when circumstances forced Goodman Ace to continue broadcasting after his show had finished on KMBC Radio Kansas City, he brought his wife Jane in for an impromptu discussion. The results soon became a hit domestic comedy duo known as, “Easy Aces”. In 1931, “Easy Aces” joined the regular CBS Radio lineup and moved to WBBM Radio in Chicago. For fifteen years their series ran coast to coast until they left the air in 1954. In 1955, she joined her husband as a monitor for a DuMont radio show. They couple was also part of the NBC Radio Weekday Show, as well writing and performing on commercials for both radio and television. She died of cancer at age 77 in New York City and was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1990.
