James Hall

Actor. Born in Dallas, Texas, Hall appeared in numerous silent and early sound films.  He is probably best remembered for his co-starring role in Howard Hughes’ World War I aviation saga,  “Hell’s Angels” (1930).  His other films include “Man Alone” (1923), “The Campus Flirt” (1926), “Stranded In Paris” (1926), “Hotel Imperial” (1927), “Love’s Greatest Mistake” (1927), “Ritzy” (1927), “Rolled Stockings” (1927), “Silk Legs” (1927), “Four Sons” (1928), “Just Married” (1928), “The Canary Murder Case” (1929), “Paramount On Parade” (1930), “Let’s Go Native” (1930), “The Third Alarm” (1930), “Lightning Flyer” (1931), The Good Bad Girl” (1931), and “Manhattan Tower” (1932). Hall worked with such greats as Vilma Banky, Jean Harlow, Ben Lyon, and Colleen Moore. He was also a talented singer and writer. His promising career was cut short by his untimely death, at the age of 39, from cirrhosis.
