Gus Van (Gus Van)
Vaudvillian comedian and actor. With his partner, Joe Schenck, they made up the comedy duo, Van & Schenck. They were together for 18 years and appeared on Broadway and in the Ziegfeld Follies. Schenck died in 1930 and Van went onto appear in films. His roles include, “Atlantic City” (1944), “Rainbow’s End” (1938), “Gus Van’s Garden Party” (1936), “Gus Van And His Neighbors” (1934), “They Learned About Women” (1930) and “Metro Movietone Revue” (1929).
