Ethel Grey Terry (Ethel Grey Terry)
Actress. A twenty-year veteran of the stage, starting in 1919 under the director of Belasco and the Shuberts, Ethel was the daughter of actress Lillian Lawrence and wife of actor Carl Gerard. She began her career on the stage at two years of age, later being educated at Notre Dame Academy in Boston, then going to New York to pursue a career on the stage. Ethel made her screen debut in 1914 and went on to play roles as snotty society women. In 1922 she did played the role of ‘Calamity Jane’ opposite William S. Hart and around this time, her career started to slip. Grey Terry died from an illness she’d suffered for over a year. She acted in 51 films.
