Emmanuel Bove

Writer. Born Emmanuel Bobovnikoff  in Paris, France, he began his writing career as a journalist and published his first novel “Mes amis” in 1924, which was awarded the prix Figuière in 1928. Known for writing with an airy style about humorous observations, his numerous books included “Monsieur Thorpe” (1930), “Un célibataire” (1932), “Le Beau-fils” (1934), “La Dernière Nuit” (1939) and “Non-lieu” (1946). He died of heart failure at age 47 in Paris, France. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
