Actress. Born in Canada, her acting career was confined mostly to the stage, with the exception of the Hollywood films “The Man They Couldn’t Hang” (1912), “Ruggles of Red Gap” (1918), “A Pair of Sixes” (1918), “It’s a Bear” (1919), “A Regular Fellow” (1919), and “Nothing But the Truth” (1920). Phillips was the wife of actor Taylor Holmes and mother of actors Phillips Holmes and Ralph Holmes. She died on her 74th birthday.
