Douglas Hare

Actor. A native of Trieste, Italy, Hare was the son of the Italian actress Ursula Danera-Hare. A talented performer, he studied acting at the famed Studio Fersen in Rome, Italy, the Group Workshop in Los Angeles, California, with acting teacher Eli Rill in Toronto, Ontario, and at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City. A speaker of three languages including Italian, English, and German, Hare appeared in films with the likes of British actor Richard Burton. His film roles include, “Viva Max!” in 1969, “Massacre In Rome” in 1974, “Noa Noa” in 1974, and as ‘John’ in “The Nada Gang,” also in 1974. He passed away accidently in London, England, on January 24, 1978, at the age of 29, and was buried in the Diamond Head Memorial Park in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Family links:  Parents:  Ursula Danera Hare (1920 – 2013)
