Dora Doll (Dora Doll)
Actress. She enjoyed a lengthy career in French movies and went on to make her mark internationally. Born Dorothea Hermina Feinberg, she moved with her family to Paris during her early youth and made her film debut at the age of sixteen with an uncredited part in “The Curtain Rises” (1938). She may perhaps be best remembered for playing ‘Lola’ in the French picture “Touchez Pas au Grisbi” (1954). She seized the opportunity to appeal to a broader audience, when she played ‘Simone’ in “The Young Lions” (1958), which starred Marlon Brando and Dean Martin and experienced a part in the Fred Zinnemann, Oscar garnered “Julia” (1977). She was formerly married to French actor Raymond Pellegrin. (bio by: C.S.)
