Dora Carrington (Dora Carrington)
Artist. She was trained at the Sladeschool of Fine Art and designed the wood-cut decorations for Leonard and Virginia Woolf’s first Hogarth publications. She had affairs with the painter Mark Gertler, writer Gerald Brenan and married Ralph Partridge; but the most important relationship of her life was with Lytton Strachey.
