Carola Höhn

Actress. She was born in Wesermünde and died in München, (Germany). She made her debut on stage in 1933 at the Berliner Schlosstheater. In 1934, she started a film career that spanned more than 60 years. She triumphed in movies such as “Einmal eine grosse Dame sein” (1934), “Charleys Tante” (1934), “Der alte und der junge König” (1935), “Der Bettelstudent” (1936) and “Zu neuen Ufern” (1937) and she became a popular Ufa star. After the Second World War she gave guest performances in Berlin, Vienna, Munich and Bremen. Finally she worked again in movies in movies like “Toxi” (1952), “Johannisnacht” (1956), “Viktor und Viktoria” (1957), “Appartementzauber” (1963) and “Pepe, der Paukerschreck” (1969). Her last works was in the serial “Praxis Bülowbogen” (1987-97), “Distel” (1992), “Alle lieben Willy Wuff” (1995) and “Laila – unsterblich verliebt” (2000). (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
