Carmen Mathews

Actress. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and made her stage debut on Broadway in 1943, at the age of 32. For feature films, she appeared in “The Butterfield 8” (1960), “A Rage to Live” (1965), “Sounder” (1972), “Daniel” (1983) and “The Last Best Year” (1990). She also was a regular TV’s “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”, “Hallmark Hall of Fame”, “Twilight Zone”, “Cannon” and “Mash” television series. In 1987, she was named Connecticut’s Outstanding Women by the United Nations. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
