Ángel de Andrés

Actor. He was born in Madrid, Spain. He began his career at a young age, and became one of the most beloved Spanish comedic actors. In his long career, he appeared in more than 150 films and he played on stage, where he found his own company. Also he developed a prolific work on television. He is fondly remembered in films such as “La Pródiga” (1946), “Don Quijote de La Mancha” (1948), “Historias de la Radio” (1955), “Manolo Guardia Urbano” (1956), “Se Armó el Belén” (1969), “Luces de Bohemia” (1985), “Esquilache” (1988), “La Forja de un Rebelde” (1990) and “El Perro del Hortelano”  (1995). He obtained the Silver Medal for his work on stage in 1992. He was the uncle of the actor Ángel de Andrés López. He died in his birthtown.  (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
