Actress. She appeared in over 90 television and motion picture roles, spanning a career of nearly 60 years in the entertainment industry. She began her acting career in the 1945 motion picture “Pan-Americana,” playing the uncredited role of Miss Guatemala. Over the next several years she would appear in several more non credited acting roles including “Yolanda and the Thief” (1945), “Carnival in Costa Rica” (1947), “Honeymoon” (1947), “Sombrero” (1953), “Gun Fury” (1953) and “Jubilee Trail” in 1954. She is best known to American audiences for her brief role as Mrs. Fuentes in the 1970s television comedy series “Sanford and Son” and for her supporting role in the 1990 motion picture “Ghost” starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Her other motion picture credits include: “Mexicana” (1945), “The Loves of Carmen” (1948), “He Walked the Night” (1948), “The Bottom of the Bottle” (1956), “Blue” (1968), “Red Sky at Morning” (1971), “The Parallax View” (1974), “Marathon Man” (1976), “House Calls” (1978), “Herbie Goes Bananas” (1980), “Oh, God! Book II” (1980), “Zoot Suit” (1981), “Into the Night” (1985), “Nobody’s Fool” (1986), “Night Fire” (1994) and her final film acting role “Buying the Cow” in 2002. Her extensive supporting roles in television include: “Broken Arrow,” “Kojak,” “Soldiers of Fortune,” “Bonanza,” “My Three Sons,” “The Mod Squad,” “The Flying Nun,” “Columbo,” “Cannon,” “Police Story,” “The A-Team,” “The Bob Newhart Show,” “The Brady Bunch,” “Ironside,” “Chico and the Man,” “Gunsmoke,” “Knight Rider,” “T. J. Hooker,” “The Jeffersons,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Hill Street Blues,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Berrenger’s,” “Knots Landing,” “Hunter,” “Jake and the Fatman” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.” She died in Southern California, from natural causes related to advanced age.
