Author, Historian. His writings include “Benjamin Franklin And A Rising People”, “The Southern Frontier, 1670-1732”, and “Franklin’s Letters To The Press, 1758-1775”. Crane was also a noted professor of History at the University of Michigan, and an outstanding authority on the Southeastern Indian frontier.
