John Tomlin was an American student and the tenth murder victim of the Columbine High School massacre, which claimed the lives of 12 students and a teacher, as well as both perpetrators. John worked at a local nursery hauling trees after school. He belonged to a church youth group. He once went to Mexico with his truck to help a poor family to build a house. John Tomlin was studying at the library on the day of the massacre like everyday. He welcomed student Nicole Nowlen to hide under his table. Both students were first of all injured and when John Tomlin tried to escape from the table, he was kicked, taunted and shot dead in the head by Dylan Klebold. Nicole Nowlen survived. His truck became a standing memorial in the parking lot.
