Founder of Champion Spark Plug. In 1910, Mr. Stranahan moved his struggling spark plug business from Boston, Massachusetts to Toledo, Ohio. Champion Spark Plug later went onto become a multi-million dollar company. Mr. Stranahan is also credited with adopting the “red bow tie” symbol of Champion Spark Plug that is still recognized today.
