Mr. Cornelius built the first theater in St. Louis that was designed expressly for the production of moving pictures. In addition to the original Lyric Theater, he eventually also owned the West End Lyric Theater, the Lyric Skydome and the Royal Theater. He made a fortune in the motion picture business in St. Louis.
