Businessman. First worked in his father’s Akron, Ohio Match Company. He was such a successful salesman that he later founded Barberton, Ohio and moved the family business there, where he built a lavish mansion. The house is gone today but the gothic-style horse stables still stand. O.C. would become known as “the Match King of America”.
