Artist. For five decades, he was a critically acclaimed painter known for his hard-edge abstraction art. He devised his work into three categories, “Hunch” are unplanned paintings that begin with a shape and continue with intuitive additions, “Geometrics” rhythmic orchestrations of geometric shapes and “Organics” are composed of curving forms. He gained national attention in 1959, when his art was featured in the “Four Abstract Classicists”, a traveling exhibition organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. His work is in the collections of museums across the country, to include the Museum of Fine Arts, New Mexico, Laguna Art Museum California, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York and Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.
